For the 19th month in a row, Audi
achieved record monthly sales in the United States. Specifically, Audi sales
rose 28 percent over July 2011 sales., which is incredible to say the least. Among the new Audi
models most credited for this spike are the Audi A8, Audi A7, Audi A6
and Audi Q7. Together, these four luxury autos represent over 30
percent of consumer demand for the brand in July. 30 percent! If you think
you've been seeing an influx of these hot cars driving around the streets of Atlanta, you probably have - they demand attention.
Also up significantly are Audi TDI clean diesel models. The Audi A3 TDI, in particular jumped a healthy 28.3 percent in July and dominated Audi's clean diesel portfolio for the month, with 46.2 percent of sales. The Q7 TDI was still holding strong as well at nearly 26 percent.
What else is noteworthy about July Audi sales in the U.S.?
Despite less than optimum inventory levels, Audi Certified Pre-Owned sales were at their second highest, with 3.136 units sold nationwide.
