Hurricane Sandy has affected many people on the east coast and beyond, and people are sure to be talking about it for years to come.
Let's face it. New York has the largest port on the East Coast. Temporary shutdowns have the profound ability to wreak havoc on inventory levels nationwide. Jim Ellis Audi Marietta can't say for sure how Sandy will affect our new Audi inventory levels at 1715 Cobb Parkway S in Marietta. But, we're sure we'll feel the impact, at least a little bit. Today, we're writing to ask for your patience and explain exactly why and how a storm such as Sandy can impact our inventory levels.
It's important to remember that our Audi dealership strives to have the most complete inventory of new Audi models that we can. Take last month, for example. New Audi dealerships - including ours near Marietta began the 31-day segment with a meager 40-day supply.
While pragmatic, this approach does not leave a lot
of wiggle room for times when availability and inventory levels might temporarily
be put on hold. Aside from port closures, we have to remember that many of our fellow Audi dealers were directly affected by the storm.
There are almost 5,000 premium and non-premium dealerships in Sandy-struck states. Many of these are now left negotiating the murky waters of partial or total loss of onsite inventory and car parts.
Audi is still investigating the long-term impact Sandy will have on Jim Ellis Audi Marietta and other new and used Audi inventory levels across the U.S. We'll be sure to give you an update as soon as we know more. If you have any immediate questions, feel free to contact us online or at 866-967-9508. And, be sure to stay tuned for more Audi news coming soon.
