Sitting in stop and go traffic is never an enjoyable experience in the greater Marietta area and beyond. You might even have the image of brake lights burned into your mind from staring at them for what seems like eternity. This is precisely why Audi is making brake lights more functional by giving them some extra pizazz.

These new lights will be made from organic light-emitting diodes (OLED's) and will have the functionally to do much more than alert drivers of braking. They will also include information about the conditions of the road and the actual speed of the vehicle. This concept is called "the Swarm" because of the way the lights move to look like a flock of birds or perhaps a school of fish that fluidly swarm around in water.

The OLED lights emit a display across the entire bumper of the car. By emitting light that is electrically charged, this kind of lighting actually appears brighter and is more efficient than the typical LED lights that are used. Although watching a light display while stuck in stand still traffic would be quite amazing, the concept is still undergoing development to ensure it would satisfy safety regulations.
