In order to keep up with the fast paced nature of the automotive world, automakers are constantly having to find ways to keep ideas innovative and fresh. Sometimes this involves really thinking outside the box, which is why Audi recently created a new plan for generating ideas.
The German automaker is inviting U.S. students to participate in a six-week practicum focused on the development of sustainable mobility solutions. This is an issue that affects congested cities all over the world, so Audi thought it would be helpful to get some advice from undergraduates who are currently studying in areas like computer science, engineering and design.
A total of twelve students will be given the opportunity to participate in practicum next summer at Audi's headquarters in Germany. From there, the two students who develop ideas that are the most innovative will be selected to continue their research during a six-month internship. This will allow them to collaborate with the Audi Technical Development team as they investigate the future of transportation.
The application period for participants who are interested closes on November 30, 2013, so be sure to spread the word if you or someone you know in the Marietta, GA area, is interested in applying for the practicum.
