Audi has just announced that this past month marked the 33rd consecutive September the automaker has had record sales in the United States. Over the past 33 years, Audi has reached record-breaking sales September after September, and they aren't stopping there! Through the end of 2013's third quarter, this year has been their third best year for total Audi sales in the U.S. market.
"Audi momentum remained strong in September with several new models expanding our lineup for the final push to another year of record sales," explains Executive Vice President and COO of Audi of America, Mark Del Rosso. "With the Audi A6 TDI, A7 TDI, A8 TDI and Q5 clean diesel models, along with the SQ5 performance crossover on dealer lots, we are confident of setting record sales again this year."
As Mark mentioned, sales of their popular models significantly helped Audi hit its sales record again. The Q5 luxury crossover recorded a 44.9% sales gain this September while the Q7 increased 31.9%. Year to date sales for the Q5 and Q7 reported a 43.7% increase and 46.7% increase respectively. The addition of three new clean diesel models this summer also posed a great impact on sales this September.
