Sales totaled an impressive 14,005 vehicles, an increase of 21.5 percent over August of 2013. Year-to-date sales reached 101,346 vehicles, a rise over last year of 14.7 percent. What's even more exciting is that August is Audi's 32nd month in a row to produce record sales numbers. The brand is on a role when it comes to sales momentum and it isn't showing any signs of slowing down!
We have the new lineup of Audi TDI models to thank for these impressive results. Models like the new A6 TDI, A7 TDI and Q5 TDI joined the A8 TDI and Q7 TDI to reach a sales total of 1,180 units during August. The Q7 proved to be the most popular, contributing to 25.6 percent of the total.
The 2014 Audi R8 model was quite a crowd pleaser as well. Sales rose by 65.2 percent. It was followed by the A6 sedan which increased by 34.5 percent with a total of 2,110 vehicles making their way to new driveways in August.
