Audi continued to surpass expectations by extending its streak of sales records to 39 months, with 14,246 vehicles sold in March 2014.
This marked a 7.5 percent increase over last year's March sales and a 3 percent increase over last year's first quarter.
Highlighting the sales were Audi's luxury sedans and SUVs. The A6 sedan increased to 26.7 percent compared to March 2013 and 24.3 percent on a year-to-date basis. The Q7 luxury crossover posted a whopping 45.8 percent gain in March and a 41 percent year-to-date sales increase.
It was also a great month for Audi's certified pre-owned vehicles. Nearly 4,000 CPO vehicles were sold in March, a 13.5 percent increase, marking Audi of America's second best CPO sales month of all time.
"What drove the Audi momentum story to its 39th consecutive record month was consistently strong demand across our product line up – particularly for our SUV models and our A6 premium sedan," said Mark Del Rosso, Chief Operating Officer, Audi of America. "Add in the tech-forward A3 premium compact sedans after their official sales launch later this week and the outlook for the rest of 2014 is extremely positive."
