In the US, hatchbacks are not quite as popular as they are in other parts of the world. That all might change, though, according to Audi. The recent success of the Audi RS 3 Sportback in Europe has generated talk of a new US version of the sporty hatchback.

According to Digital Trends, the RS 3 is still an exclusively European model, but many are starting to wonder why. The hatchback has a 2.5-liter five-cylinder turbocharged engine paired with a seven-speed S-tronic transmission. Believe it or not, there's enough room for your family and at the same time enough power to go zero to 60 mpg in 4.3 seconds.

Audi wants to know why you have to sacrifice space for sportiness. Why not have it all? The new 2015 Audi RS 3 design also features a sports suspension, alloy wheels, and carbon-fiber ceramic brakes.

With a honeycombed grille, sporty profile, and the iconic Audi headlights, the new hatchback screams performance, but is still comfortable to drive. Here at Jim Ellis Audi Marietta, we have our fingers crossed that it makes its way to the US.
