Camping can be a great way to spend a long summer weekend enjoying nature, but pitching a tent can be a real hassle often requiring multiple people and complex aluminum poles. This isn’t the case, however, with the inflatable tents from Heimplanet.

Their latest innovative tent design was made in collaboration with Audi. The inflatable design hooks up perfectly with the back end of the Q3 to create a car-tent hybrid. It can be connected directly to the open rear hatch of the Q3, or set up as a freestanding unit. According to Audi, the tent only takes about seven minutes to set up and its structure can withstand wind up to 43.5 mph.

Audi had a special outdoor version concept of the Q3 on display at the VW Wörthersee event in Austria, complete with the “Q3 camping tent” and a kayak rack that can be strapped to the roof.

While the tent isn’t officially available, would you buy a tent that could be connected to your Audi Q3?
