April seems to be Audi's lucky month after the German carmaker announced that its April sales helped the brand achieve its 40th consecutive month of record monthly sales. With 15,653 vehicles sold in the U.S., Audi boasted its second highest month of sales ever. These sales were helped in part by the strong demand for the all-new Audi A3.

"The launch of the all-new A3 Sedan gives Audi an even broader product portfolio and the opportunity to reach more luxury buyers in the premium compact segment," said Mark Del Rosso, Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, Audi of America. "In its first month of retail sales, the Audi A3 was a top seller in April, with over 2,000 vehicles sold."

Along with an increase in regular April sales, Audi has also set their ninth consecutive record month for Audi Certified pre-owned vehicles sales, increasing 13.7% with 3,702 vehicles sold in April.
