Final Audi R8 Competition to Be Super-Powered and Carbon-Fibered

Audi is bringing on the power with the new Audi R8, soon to be revealed at the Los Angeles Auto Show. While the R8 is, in a way, on its way out of the market, Audi has some big things planned for the last hurrah of this supercar.

This muscle-bound R8 will be dubbed the R8 Competition and will only have 60 units produced for its line. With its 5.2-liter V10 engine, it’ll be outputting 570 horsepower, 30 more than the R8 Plus from last year. The seven-speed S-Tronic dual-clutch transmission is estimated to get to its 60 mph in about 3.2 seconds by Audi.

The entire car’s body has been outfitted in carbon fiber. Wherever it was plausible to use carbon fiber, you’ll find the carbon fiber there. Even the mirrors have carbon fiber! Expect everything in this fInal Audi R8 Competition’s go-around to be as high-end as possible, including a possibility for a mink fur upholstery kit.
