It seems like every automaker and their mother are putting out some form of adaptive headlights these days. While this is all well and good in our eyes, it seems like the competing systems are lacking one very important thing: precision. Apparently Audi has noticed this, too, so they've engineered the Matrix LED system to compensate.
In a way, the Matrix LED lighting system acts like an illuminating lightsaber directly tied to The Force. For those who don't get the Star Wars reference, that means that the separate diode elements inside the lamp can detect light ahead and switch off to provide lighting with much more precision than competing tech.
