It’s official! Audi has confirmed the RS3 sedan and Q8 SUV are coming to the US market.
The all-wheel-drive compact performance sedan, built on a VW MQB platform, will reportedly come equipped with a 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder engine capable of 367-hp and 343lb-ft of torque mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
“We really, really want the RS3,” Audi of America CEOScott Keogh told Automotive News. The sedan is "going to be a great positioning car, a great halo car. I'm very confident we'll see that car in the market. That's as far as I'm going to go."
Based on the redesigned Q7, the Q8 SUV will be a sportier and more premium offering compared to its Q counterpart. "The Q8 looks to be a home run product for the US," Keogh told Automotive News. "That is absolutely a car that we will see in the United States."
