Dear Amos,

Sorry I was so short on the phone, especially since Bob and and I held you in such high regard. You gave us a lot of attention and time, and all things being equal we would have chosen the Q5 because of you alone. For several reasons -- dealership close to home, price point, and the handling of the car, we chose to go with a BMW X3. I called last Friday and left a message that either Laurie or I would call you back, but time got away from me and before you know it here's Saturday. We were preoccupied when you called today and innocently and unintentionally had to end the telephone call quickly. We both felt you deserved a better explanation for all the time you took in explaining Audi's virtues. I would like with your OK to write a General Manager or other person in the organization, describing your effort, product knowledge and gracious tenacity with us. We walked away liking you very much and I am not saying that for any other reason than the truth.

I am sorry we did not tell you this in person or spend more time on the phone with an explanation. 

 We both felt something in the X3 met our needs better than the Q5. Let me know if you want me to write that letter. It will be way to write. With best regards, Bob Spector
