Each year, the Volkswagen Group goes insane. No, we are not talking about corporate drama at the board level. This is even more fun: The legendary all-things-Volkswagen festival at Lake Wörthersee in Carinthia, Austria, serves as a launching pad for new technologies and sporty derivatives from VW, SEAT, Audi, and Škoda.

 

This year, Audi is first to unveil its Wörthersee project. Meet the TT Clubsport Turbo, a glimpse at the upcoming TT RS—but with R8 levels of power. Inspired, says Audi, by the late-’80s IMSA Audi 90 GTO and largely made from carbon-fiber composite materials, it wears extremely wide fenders, a giant rear wing, and a low front spoiler.
