My Opinion... Clients regularly tell us they wish to deal with the most professional Sales Specialist we have.  In the next breath they state that they wish to buy a car BELOW what we pay for the car!  DAAAA?

Time for a little common sense.  To become a true professional at luxury auto sales takes years of hard work and training.  They work long hours and weekends. The best folks in our business have families to support like everyone else.

How would you expect someone to  become the professional you really want to deal with if you are not willing to allow them to make a fair, living wage.

Would you go to a Doctor who has had minimal training and a short time practicing their trade. No.

The internet has laid everything open to everyone.  There are no more secrets.  Everyone has a good idea what we pay for our cars and the value of their cars. It's easy to tell when you are getting a fair deal. When buyers understand that they need to allow a Dealer and Sales Person to earn a fair wage then we can cheerfully provide the extraordinary level of service the customer demands.

So many times customers tell me... "I do not want to haggle/negotiate.  Please give me your absolute best price at the get go."  We provide them with that absolute best price... then they want to make us an offer lower than our quoted price.  So, do we haggle/negotiate.. or do we not?  I have found that customer integrity has diminished with the rise of the internet.

Clients will come by on a Saturday (our most productive day) and spend the whole day with a sales person looking at and driving many cars.  The Sales person earns nothing for his time. Then they will buy the same car from another Dealer and Sales Person who merely offered... "I will beat their deal by a few bucks!" Anybody can beat anybody's deal by a few bucks!  Where's the integrity for the person who gave you their time and effort.

The best piece of advice that I give all of my friends is to find a true auto professional to deal with, ask them to be fair with you and be fair with them.... verify their fairness online... and deal with them again and again.  Demand integrity and give integrity.  Life becomes easier for everyone.
