Remember your parents' old station wagon? You know, the one with faux wood side panels that you and your siblings fought relentlessly in during those cross-country road trips?

Well, the wagon has come a very long way since those days, and now, Audi is about to unveil something that will completely change the game for wagons. The Audi Prologue Avant concept—to be officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show next month—is sleek, luxurious, and will have even wagon-haters drooling.

According to digitaltrends.com, Audi has released a teaser image of the Prologue Avant, the successor to the Prologue coupe unveiled last year at the LA Auto Show. The Prologue Avant keeps everything we loved about the coupe version, but adds two rear doors and a wagon-style hatchback. Its sporty, angular body sits low to the ground on 22" wheels and features high-tech lighting features.

Of course, we won't know what's going on under the hood until the concept's official reveal, but the previous Prologue coupe was equipped with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that was good for 605-horsepower. Only time will tell what Audi has in store for the Prologue Avant wagon.

If the Audi Prologue Avant is any indication of where the automaker is headed in the next few years, we are thrilled to be a part of the ride. Stop by Jim Ellis Audi to learn more about our exciting lineup!
