One of my regular duties is to order new Audi's from the factory for our stock. Today I ordered 81 new 16' Audi's to be delivered here in August. Sometimes the hard part is that you are ordering cars that you have never seen before. The colors and packages can be confusing to say the least. You don't even know what the price of the cars you are ordering will turn out to be.
There is quite a bit of data on previously sold cars to base our ordering on. Color, equipment, time in stock till sold all figure into the equations as to what to order. Many times people say... "Why is it you seem to have only 3 - 4 colors?" That's because 80% of the cars sold in a particular model are these 3 - 4 colors. it's important to stock what sells quickly.
Most people don't realize that the color of the car they own affects the value of their car when it is ready to be sold at used. The top 3 or 4 colors when the models were new are also the top 3 - 4 colors people desire when they are used. It's good common sense to buy a car that will be a great used car when you want to sell it in a few years.
