At Jim Ellis Audi - Marietta we have one of the most experienced Sales Teams in America. Our sales team members are called Audi Brand Specialist. It takes a great deal of training  and certification to earn this title. It is not easy to join our Team.

Most auto dealers experience extremely high turnover on their Sales Teams.  You see new faces every time you walk into those dealerships; and most of those new faces are brand new to the auto business.

What does it take for Jim Ellis Audi - Marietta to make this happen?

1.  We recruit vigorously. We do not necessarily hire experienced sales people. We have found that in most cases it is extremely difficult to change an experienced auto sales person's character to fit into the Jim Ellis Audi - Marietta character/integrity mold. Our goal is to recruit good, down to earth people that our clients will feel good about working with.  The old car business "razzle - dazzle" is not acceptable here. Our customer's transparent, no pressure experience is of paramount concern to us all.




2.  All applicants must be prepared to pass an extensive background check, a credit investigation, have a good driving record, not have had a DUI for the past 5 years, and must pass an intensive drug test. We want to maintain a strong family atmosphere at our dealership.  We want for our good people to help our good clients.

3.  All applicants are required to attend the Jim Ellis University Corporate Training Facility Orientation for several days before they are allowed to work in our dealership. During this intensive orientation they are introduced to the components we feel are essential for a good Jim Ellis employee to understand and mimic.

4.  Audi has an intensive 3 day Seminar called Audi 101 that every new hire must attend and pass.  This is an offsite Seminar presented by Audi Executives that clearly explains the history of Audi and the fundamentals required to become an Audi Brand Specialist.




5.   Jim Ellis Audi - Marietta has created  a very specific customer relationship philosophy and sales process that we take every future Audi Brand Specialist thru that enables us to maintain excellence in every area of our relationship with our clients.  We closely inspect what we expect of everyone continuously.  Sometimes we do not see the kind of attention to customer detail and work ethic required of our Team. We eliminate people who cannot fit the mold before too much time goes by.

6. Then begins an extensive computer assisted series of seminars and tests presented by Audi University that must be mastered before working with the first customer.




7.  Continuous face to face training, role playing, and video taping by our Management Team and our Partner Vendors on our processes, systems, and product information are designed to help our Team maintain a strong competitive edge in today's changing market.  Every Audi Brand Specialist at Jim Ellis Audi - Marietta attends a minimum of 3 hours per week of intensive classroom training. They must all be raving Audi Fans!

8.  Everyone's performance is regularly measured against best in class benchmarks. Returned customer surveys and internet rating referrals are essential to our improvement process.  We pay extremely close attention to every response we receive and act accordingly on them.   

9.  We are closed on Sundays and most Holidays so that our Team members can attend to religious obligations and build strong family bases.  Our Team works a 5 day work week usually about 40 - 45 hours per week.  They all have a day off during the week plus Sundays; and are encouraged to take their days off.  We do not believe in "brow beating" our Team members.  Everyone is always treated with the utmost respect and dignity.

We believe that when you shop for a new or pre-owned car at Jim Ellis Audi - Marietta it is essential that you work with someone who will treat you as though you are an honored guest in our home.

Becoming a Certified Audi Brand Specialist is not an easy task. That is why we have less turnover than most auto dealerships and more long term sales professionals.  It takes alot of extra effort and costs quite a bit to become the best of the best!  We feel our customer's deserve it.
