Here are some great hiking trails near Marietta for you to take in the splendor of the new season.

  • Burnt Hickory Loop. This rugged, scenic loop trail will let you explore the Kennesaw Mountain. You can also see the Georgia Memorial, which is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain. This is a moderate difficulty trail and does require a small amount of climbing.
  • Cheatham Hill Loop. If you love hiking and love Civil War history, this is the trail for you. Within 1,000 feet of the trailhead occurred some of the most intense fighting anywhere during the Civil War--the Battle of Dead Angle. You can also see the Illinois Monument, Texas Monument, and more.
  • Kolbs Farm Loop. This is along trail that will take you through rolling hills and open fields full of wildflowers and songbirds. It loops around Peter Kolb's farmhouse. This trail is open to both hikers and horseback riders.
