As summer heats up, so does Audi, turning their attention to the RS models that will take Audi to a whole new level. The German automaker now has 12 models in its collection.

The RS models from Audi Sport GmbH headline the respective product lines. They have a robust charisma that entails diverse design variations, everyday reliability, effortless top performance, and a thrilling driving experience. 

The result of this extraordinary design comes from the relentless focus of the designers and development and test engineers on even the finest details. In addition, it is honed and refined over multiple test drives around the world. 

Including the sporty subsidiary of AUDI, the RS models include:

• the RS 3 as a Sportback and Sedan

• the RS 4 Avant

• the RS 5 as Coupe and Sportback

• the RS 6 Avant

• the RS 7 Sportback

• the TT RS as Coupé and Roadster 

• the RS Q3 and the RS Q3 Sportback

• the RS Q8 

While eight of these models were only introduced in 2019, Audi Sport GmbH already has many more ideas coming soon. Following the unveiling of the respective base product lines, Audi will have future RS models to boost the range of the overall Audi collection. 

The idea for Audi is to have their characteristics specified at a very early stage while having their development run alongside the corresponding product line upon which they are based. In addition to design, the focus will be on powertrain and suspension. 

The hope is to bring the classy, cool, and sporty DNA that all Audi's already have to the forefront for all buyers and drivers to see. 

One of the main objectives for Audi with the RS models is state-of-the-art efficiency. With the RS 6 Avant, RS 7 Sportback, and RS Q8, the elements include a sophisticated mild hybrid system based on the 48-volt on-board electrical system as well as cylinder deactivation (COD) in the V8 TFSI engine under partial load. 

Audi knows that "fine-tuning" is the key while developing the stunning RS models and Audi Sport GmbH Managing Director Oliver Hoffman expounded on what's needed.

"A unique character will only evolve if we work consistently and with great precision, Hoffman said. "A lot of experience and a clear vision are the keys to creating a coherent overall concept."
